    •        Would you like a “house call”  for your garden?

    •        Just call Rent-A-Master Gardener, a program offered by the Lowcountry Master Gardener Association
to help gardeners be more successful.

    •        Rent-A-Master Gardener teams are comprised of volunteer Master Gardeners who have completed
their course work at Clemson University Extension Services and are experienced gardeners.

    •        After you have identified specific issues or concerns, a team of Master Gardeners will accompany you
on a tour of your garden to observe, assess, ask questions and offer solutions.

    Services available include:

    •        Soil sampling & testing by Clemson University.
    •        Identification of plants and trees.
    •        Planting  recommendations.
    •        Watering and mulching suggestions.
    •        Written report with the team’s  recommendations, sent to you approximately two weeks after the site
    visit.

There is a $50.00 fee, which includes one soil test.  The remainder of the fee goes toward the philanthropic
endeavors of the Lowcountry Master Gardener Association.

Plant disease and pest identification services are also available from Clemson University at an additional
    charge.

The results of the soil test can be expected within two weeks.

The Lowcountry Master Gardeners of Beaufort County have a great program for those wanting assistance with
plant issues.  I have inserted information that they provided about their program below.  As you can see there is a
small fee involved, but this service is a wonderful bargain, that helps the Beaufort County Master Gardening
program to boot. If you are interested in obtaining their help, call one of the Master Gardeners listed
or visit their
website.
